Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo from Google.
• Profile: name, role, company, headline, photo, time zone, interests, expertise, about text, work history and links you choose to add.
• Products and activity: products, screenshots, ships, upvotes, comments and reviews you write.
• Sessions: requests, times, the video link, private notes you add for the Shaper, feedback, and the plan or review written afterwards.
• Technical: sign-in cookies and basic server logs (such as time and address of a request) kept by our hosts to run and protect the service.

What is public and what is private

Public to anyone: your profile, products, ships, upvotes, reviews and comments, and the plan from a session if you choose to show it. Private: your email address, session requests and notes (only you and the booked person), and session feedback (only the people in that session).

How we use it

To run your account, show your profile and products, match builders with Shapers, book sessions, send emails about them (requests, confirmations, reminders), keep the service safe, and handle reports. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Vercel: hosting the website.
• Google: Sign in with Google, optional Calendar and Meet if you connect them, and sending our emails through Gmail.
• Cloudflare: the domain name.

These providers handle data on our behalf and may store it outside your country.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics, we will update this page.

How long we keep it

While your account exists. When you delete it in Settings, your profile, products, comments, upvotes, uploaded images and sessions are removed. Copies in database backups can remain for a short time before they are overwritten. We may keep limited records where the law requires it or to deal with abuse.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and products at any time and delete your account in Settings. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion we cannot do for you, write to shipshape624@gmail.com. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, such as to object to or limit how we use your data.

Safety and children

We limit access with account permissions, encrypted connections and per-account rate limits. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not put passwords or other secrets in any field. ShipShape is not for anyone under 16.
